Welcome to August, and it’s looking to be a warm sunny summer, brilliant, the sun coming out seems to cheer us all up, and you are all seem confident now that we can not only adjust your workout to suit the warmer weather, but that we have huge extractors at the gym that can be put on.
Music makes such a difference to our workouts, it can inspire, motivate and sometimes just entertain us. I have had some great new music delivered recently and from the feedback most of you are giving me, you love the new cd’s as much as me. I have just had 2 more delivered, and they are fantastic. Been playing them in the car, and can’t wait to play them in class, bring your dancing shoes along
A great trip to Bath Spa last Friday with some of you, a serious amount of relaxing, lots of chats and lots of giggles. As we all agreed “same time next year” Going by train made it even more relaxing and got us 4 hours at the Spa for the price of 2. Followed by a great meal and some more chatting and laughing. Thank you to all of you who made it so special.
Class of month, there is no contest for this, although all of you are brilliant the Wednesday evening Yoga, was fantastic, so many of you stepped right out of your comfort zone and felt the fantastic benefits of fitness yoga, I will do it again -promise
Client of month – yet again there are several contenders for this, Val for persevering with Pilates on a Thursday night and now seeing and feeling the benefits and for looking so good doing the new move of the month, Lisa for making friday morning a habit, but the winner this month is Rach W for making the friday morning class on the first day of her six week summer holiday.
Wii fit –I have had some interesting research sent to me on this on the calories burnt in a workout using the Wiifit. And sadly girls, 60 minutes on the top calorie killer, advanced step, will burn 210 calories, (approx) compared to our step classes which burn that in 30 minutes. In short the research concluded that the Wiifit is better than sitting on your butt pressing buttons, but none of the programs can replace your workouts.
Talking of calorie burning, we seem to be on a mission in the classes, the big fitness classes, latino, step etc are now really on the burn! Monday 25th was 450 calories in an hour, and we will have pumped our metabolism to keep that up for a while after class, a great start to the week!

Move of the Month, is a very effective version of the elbow balance, designed to trim your waist and flatten your belly, its a toughie, but then so are you! I am fairly certain that within a couple of weeks, you will make it look easy.
Sadly due to some huge increases in business rates and energy bills. From sept 1st we are having to increase in fees. All adult classes will be £4.00 each, but all offers will stand. But, you have to agree I am worth it. I am probably the BEST qualified fitness teacher in the area and update my knowledge on a weekly basis. You get individual attention, great fitness programmes, fantastic choreography, huge variety, nutrition, fitness and much, much more
I know loads of you are foodies just like me and have been following Kat and my 30 minute cook ins, we are loving Jaime Olivers book, they do take 30 minutes and are costing about £2.00 per person. Love it.
Final funny - I have started taking Ginko Biloba, to try and help the vertigo attacks, it is also supposed to help with memory, I just have to remember to take it !!!
